in clothinginspection of goodsIn the process, the measurement and verification of the size of each part of the garment is an essential link, but also a key basis for measuring whether the batch of clothing meets the qualified standards. Let's take a look at the specific measurement method together.
I. Preparation of measuring tools
Use a leather or soft ruler with an index value of 1mm.
Two,Size Measurementmethodologies
1. Toplength
Measure vertically from the highest point of the front shoulder seam to the bottom edge (see Figure 1), or from the center of the back neckline to the bottom edge (see Figure 2).
2. Skirtlength
Skirt: Measure vertically from the top of the left waist along the side seam spread to the bottom edge of the skirt (see Figure 3).
Dress: Measure vertically from the highest point of the front shoulder seam to the bottom edge of the dress (see Figure 4), or vertically from the center of the back neckline to the bottom edge of the dress (see Figure 5).
3. Trouserslength
Measure vertically from the top of the waistband opening along the side seam spread to the leg opening (see Figure 6).
4. Bust (bust/chestcircumference)
Button up (or close the zipper), flatten the front and back, and measure horizontally along the bottom seam of the sleeve holes (counting from all around) (see Figure 7).
5. Waist circumference (waistcircumference)
Fasten buttons (or close the zipper), skirt hooks, and pants hooks, flatten the front and back, and measure along the waist at the waist joint or across the top of the waist (counting from the perimeter) (see Fig. 8 to Fig. 11).
6. Total shoulder width (shoulderwidth)
Button up (or close the zipper), flatten the front and back, and measure across the intersection of the shoulder and sleeve seams (see Figure 12).
7. Collarwidth
Spread out the horizontal measurements of the top of the stand-up collar (see Figure 13), and the bottom of the collar of other collars (except special collars) (see Figure 14).
8. Sleeve length (sleevelength)
Round sleeves are measured from the highest point of the sleeve hill to the center of the cuff line (see Figure 15). The sleeves are measured from the center of the back neckline to the middle of the cuff line (see Figure 16).
III. Other size measurements
A.1 Hip circumference (hipcircumference)
Button (or close the zipper), skirt hooks, trouser hooks, front and back body flat, along the middle of the hip width across the measurement (to calculate around), see Figure A.1, Figure A.5, Figure A.6, Figure A.8.
A.2 Bottomhemcircumference
Button (or close the zipper), skirt hooks, pants hooks, front and back body flat, along the bottom edge of the horizontal measurement (calculated around), see Figure A.1, Figure A.5, Figure A.6.
A.3 Backwidth
Measure across the sleeve seam at the narrowest point along the back of the garment, see Figures A.2 and A.7.
A.4 Waistband circumference (waistbandcircumference)
Spread the horizontal measurement along the bottom edge of the belt (measured around). Elasticized waistbands should be stretched to their maximum size for measurement, see Figure A.3.
A.5 Length of side seam (lengthofsideseam)
Flatten the front and back, and measure along the side seams from the bottom of the sleeve hole to the bottom edge, as shown in Fig. A.1.
A.6 Shoulderlength
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder seam of the left front placket to the intersection of the sleeve and shoulder seams, see Fig. A.9.
A.7 Collar depth (neckdrop)
Measure the vertical distance between the center of the front neckline and the center of the back neckline, see Figure A.9.
A.8 Collarstandwidth
Measure the collar lining along the center line at the back of the collar, see Figure A.4.
A.9 Collarwidth
Measure the outside of the collar along the center of the back of the collar pocket, see Figure A.4.
A.10 Cuff width (cuffcircumference)
Button up (or close the zipper) and measure across the cuff line (measured around), see Figure A.9.
A.11 Cuff fat (bicepscircumference)
Measure the distance perpendicular to the center of the sleeve through the intersection of the bottom seam and the hole seam at the widest part of the sleeve, see Figure A.9.
A.12 Depth of sleeve (depthofscye)
Measure vertically from the center of the back neck pocket to the lowest horizontal position of the sleeve hole, see Figures A.2 and A.7.
A.13 Cuff length (scyestraight)
Measure from the intersection of the sleeve and shoulder seams to the bottom of the sleeve, see Figure A.9.
A.14 Inside leg length (insideleglength)
Measure from the bottom of the crotch to the leg opening, see Figure A.8.
A.15 Straight crotch (crotchdepth)
Measure vertically from the top of the waist to the bottom of the crotch, see Figure A.8.
A.16 Foot opening width (bottomleghemcircumference)
Measure horizontally along the leg opening (in perimeter), see Figure A.8.
